Currently Ana Ribeiro is a Researcher at Centro de Química Estrutural (Coordination Chemistry and Catalysis Group) of Instituto Superior Técnico, Universidade de Lisboa.
Ana's main research focuses on alternative routes for catalysis. Namely, the application of green chemistry principles in the innovative design of more efficient catalytic processes of industrial significance. The sustainable production of large-scale commodities (e.g., acetic and adipic acids) or the production of fuels from captured carbon dioxide using homogeneous or heterogenous catalysts are at the core of her work.
